Jerome Village is growing in demand

When completed, Jerome Village will host 2,200 homes, commercial development and two schools.

Homes are popping up in the first phase of the development northwest of Dublin that has been chosen as the site for the 2013 BIA Parade of Homes.

"The project as a whole has seen real activity and real growth," said Tina Guegold, vice president of marketing for developer Nationwide Realty Investors.

Glacier Park, which lies on the north side of Brock Road, is the first phase of the development. When finished, it will have 130 single-family homes.

In the first phase, about 50 homes have been started so far and the neighborhood will host the BIA Parade of Homes June 15-30.

"Jerome Village is an outstanding location for the 2013 parade," Charles Ruma, BIA president and 2013 Parade of Homes site selection chairman, said in a news release. "Because Jerome Village speaks to lifestyle, which is a key deciding factor when families are searching for a new home, we're excited to show parade visitors this new approach to master-planned community development."

Land on the site has been set aside for an elementary school and middle school, as well as commercial development. Greenspace and parkland will take up 559 acres of Jerome Village and a community center with a pool is planned, Guegold said.

Sidewalks and bike paths are planned throughout the community as well, Guegold said.

"You will see bike paths and a walking trail completed in the southern portion of the site," she said. "There are a number of ponds that are existing in the project now."

The development will see a mix of home styles and for the BIA Parade of Homes, 11 builders will be featured. They include 3 Pillar Homes, Compass Homes, Manor Homes, Rockford Homes, Truberry Custom Homes and Romanelli & Hughes.
